Creatives against COVID
CAC was a global call and campaign for posters that denote feelings of resilience, hope and optimism.
Over 1000 posters were submitted from 3o countries raising money for ISPCC, Childline and Women's Aid.
I decided to illustrate a pad lock stuck on the code combination to signify how no one is alone in this world that feels 'stuck in time' due to restrictions on work, leisure and seeing loved ones.
Monthly Gift MCR
Exhibition, Plant NOMA. MCR
Monthly Gift MCR is a not for profit organisation raising money and awareness for women suffering periods in poverty.
They collect sanitary products and provide them to women in need.
For Monthly Gifts exhibition I wanted to create a piece that had connections to female dominated craft such as embroidery.
Depicting an image of a person(s) realising their period has arrived from a personal perspective, I attempted to glamorise the idea of a period to break taboo and shame around the subject.
The menstruation is created using sequins, pushing the idea of 'beautiful blood' to viewers of both genders.
